An All-American Picnic

share this:

If we did a spring word association game and I said picnic, you’d probably say something like ‘rosé.’ We’d like to change that. We’re decidedly bringing vodka infusions for your picnic into style, and we’re doing it with the All-American vodka – Hangar 1 Vodka.

Vodka infused with fruit? Does it sound high maintenance? We promise it is not…it is the new potato. Just take one of those mason jars you have lying around (we clearly have a bunch), then fill it with Hangar 1 Straight Vodka and the sliced fruit of your choice. We went with strawberry and kiwi in one, and grapefruit and mint in another. Once you’re done, seal it, and put it either in the refrigerator or on the counter (out of sunlight). Let it sit for 2-5 days (depending on how fruity you want it to taste, you can start sampling after 2 days), and shake it each day to speed up the process. Once it’s at the point you want it to be, just strain it back into the bottle and voila – you’ve got your homemade vodka infusion. So basically, while we love wine, we’re changing it up for our outdoor eating this spring. Welcome to our picnic bedecked with prosciutto, berries and Hangar 1 Vodka infusions…
