Join the Hangar 1 team and Kelly McVicker, Master Food Preserver & founder of San Francisco’s McVicker Pickles, as she teaches you how to make your own seasonal jam from scratch.
There’s nothing like a jar of homemade jam to brighten up your breakfast or make an edible gift for someone special. In this hands-on class, you will learn how to create delicious jams, jellies & preserves from scratch. Apricot Habanero Jelly, Plum Cardamom Jam, or Pear, Ginger & Lime Preserves are just a few of the options we may explore. Each student will leave with a jar of jam made in class, plus recipes and resources for repeating the process at home. We will also spend time decorating jars with fabric and tags for easy holiday gifting.
