Valley View Recipe
1 medium (2 cups) cucumber, peeled and thinly sliced 1 cup granulated sugar ½ cup water 1½ ounces Hangar 1 Straight Vodka ¾ ounce Aperol ½ ounce Lillet Blanc ¼ ounce cucumber simple syrup ¼ ounce fresh lemon juice Ice Lemon twist, for garnish
PREPARATION:Yield: 1 cocktail Prep Time: 5 minutes, plus chilling time Cook Time: N/A Total Time: 5 minutes, plus chilling time DIRECTIONS 1. Make the cucumber simple syrup: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the cucumber and sugar and let sit for 1 hour to release the juices from the cucumber. Add the water and toss. Cover with plastic wrap and chill in the fridge overnight. Strain the simple syrup through a fine-mesh strainer and set aside. Discard the cucumber. Makes 2 cups. 2. Make the cocktail: In a cocktail shaker, combine the Hangar 1 Vodka, Aperol, Lillet Blanc, cucumber syrup and lemon juice. Add the ice and stir for 20 to 30 seconds or until the shaker is frosty. Strain into a ice-filled rocks glass and garnish with a lemon twist.
